Garden
The Hanging Gardens in Mumbai were built in 1880 and renovated in 1921. Also known as Ferozeshah Mehta Gardens, these are terraced gardens perched at the top of Malabar Hill. These are built over three reservoirs, which store 30 million gallons of water pumped here for cleaning before being supplied to the city. They serve as a retreat for the people of Mumbai & an ideal locale for family outing and healthy stroll amidst the vibrant greenery. The gardens present a picturesque vista of the dazzling city.
The main attractions of this garden include the amazing sunset views over the Arabian Sea and the numerous hedges carved into the shapes of animals. Besides this a striking flower clock in the middle of the garden is another attraction of this place.
You can have a panoramic view of the sweeping Chowpatty Beach and the scintillating Marine Drive from the Hanging Gardens while enjoying the quietude and calmness of this place, away from the crowded city.
