Masunda Lake

The Masunda Lake which the locals call 'Talao Pali', where Talao means 'Lake' in Hindi, is one of the oldest and biggest lakes of Thane city right near the station with a beautiful view.

The Lake, which can be reached in 15 to 20 minutes from any location of Thane city, gives shade to people who want to relax at the lake side for a while before going ahead.

This beautiful lake is a favorite hangout among the tourists as well as the locals, offering boating and water scooters facilities. This is also a great place for food lovers.

Masunda talao has every thing ideal for a great time and relaxation.. For foodies, it has lake side eateries like 'Chana masala', 'Peanuts', 'Chinese corner', Mumbai's famous jhunka Bhakar stall and cutting chai (Half tea). For toddlers the lake has entertainment options like Balloon vendors, Sweet candy which makes it an ideal location for family with kids.

Besides Masunda Talao, Thane has around 30 lakes and some among them are Upvan Lake, Kacharali Talao, Makhamali Talao, Siddheshwar Talao, Bramhala Talao, Ghosale Talao, Railadevi Talao etc.
