The Mumbai branch of the Kaivalyadhama Ishwardas Chunilal Yogic Health Centre was started on the 6th January, 1932. Swami Kuvalayanandaji, the founder of Kaivalyadhama Health Centre, had a clear vision about the role played by Yoga in health and healing. He said practicing Yoga daily and systematically develops immunity against all diseases. He believed Yoga represents a process through which one can learn how to live in the most integrated way. It involves therefore the process of identification and then elimination of all that would contribute in disintegration.
Yoga is a process of purification. It identifies and then eliminates all the negativities that shroud our minds and contribute to disintegration of our positive energies.
1. Practical discipline involves the practices of Asanas, Pranayama and Meditation.
2. The regulation of diet, working habits and sound sleep activities practiced in daily life.
3. Third component concerns itself with changes in one's attitude, behavior and life-style, which would help in inducing the feeling of sharing, feeling of warmth in friendship and concern, love and respect for the whole beautiful world.
It offers yoga sessions & courses like Refresher Yoga Classes, Meditation & its Techniques, Stress Management, Diabetes & its Management, Pranayama Sadhana Shibir, Workshop for Women & Management of their problems through Yoga, Workshop for Students & Parents on How to Improve Concentration, Memory & Emotional Intelligence through Yoga and Workshops on Meditation & Techniques.
It also offers Ayurveda Therapies such as Abhyanga, Pottali, Shirodhara, Nasya, Karnapuran, Netratarpana, Manyabasti, Katibasti, Janubasti, Sandhibandha, Padabhyang, Lipa, Shiro-abhyanga and Facial.
