The Yoga practiced at Shri Ambika Yog Kutir is primarily based on HathaYog, which in turn is fully dependent on Pranayama. Pranayama, on the other hand, is nothing but a process of regulating one’s own breath, which is achieved by bringing steadiness in the body and reducing the thought process.
Hatha Yoga is a combination of two syllables “HA” which connotes “SUN” and “THA” which connotes “MOON”. The Sun and Moon here signify the two Neural Currents or “Nadis” within the body of every human. When a person merges these two currents, it is said that he is performing “Pranayama” or “Hathayoga”.
Because of the fast life style of 21st century and due to reduced physical activity and increase thought process, man is suffering from physical and mental problems. To overcome these problems the Hathayoga is the master key, for this the Kutir has formulated following systematic yoga activities.
The three Yoga Programs useful to common man are Preliminary, Pranayama and Yoga Teachers Training.
The objective of the Institute is to propagate the ancient knowledge of Yoga and make it available for the benefit of the masses and organize and conduct study-courses like Health Course, Course for mental preparation to face adverse situations, Course for activists and Course for Devotees.
The Institute conducts Yoga classes for people irrespective of religions, caste and creed. It offers guidance and training in Yoga Nature cure system free of cost.
