Golden Star Thali is a restaurant specially serving Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisine. Its service has been covered and appreciated by major reputed News Papers and periodicals of Mumbai. It is owned by Mr. Zia A. Eshraghi, promoted and managed by Mr. Rumi H. Ranji. It specializes in serving ethnic Gujarati & Rajasthani Thali since 1993 and is situated at Opera House, Opposite Charni Road Railway Station (East), Mumbai.
Food served on daily basis consists of three varieties which includes one chat, one fried, one steamed. Four types of vegetables served are : one of paneer, one green vegetable, one potato and one of lentil, Gujarti dal, dal bati or Gujarati dahi khadi, 4 types of rotis , steamed basmati rice, phulkas dipped in pure ghee and various chutneys like: green chutney, lasan (garlic and chilly), sweet and sour, masala stuffed chilly, mango pickle. Different papads and sago chips along with potato home made wafers, mixed cucumber salad, raitas and curds, smoked masala chaas. Complimentary sealed bottle of bisleri mineral water.
The food from Monday to Saturday includes two unlimited sweets; it may be basundi or Rajasthani kheer or fruit salad, or fruit shrikhand. On Sundays you can try the option of Bengali sweets or milk items; some items are made of pure ghee.
